NCCAM Strategic Plan
Attention all:
If you will please take the time to review this official document, you will note there is a glaring
omission: not even a mention of chelation therapy as an alternative treatment to be included in studies, etc..
This cannot be allowed to go unchallenged - it has been this way since I spoke at the first meting of the old OAM when it was being organized. In three days of speeches and presentations (including one from the then president of ACAM) the two words "chelation therapy" were never uttered until I stood up and spoke to that very issue. Now it's eight years later, and guess what? In the entire list of alternative therapies to be included, chelation therapy is once more omitted. Enough already! Please go to the indicated site and read it for yourself and comment accordingly.
It would be good to send a copy of your comments to:
The National Center for Complementary and Alternative has posted its draft Strategic Plan on its website http://nccam.nih.gov/
There is a six week comment period for individuals (patients, trade associations, practitioners, professional associations, researchers, etc.) to respond, either on the web site or via mail to the NCCAM's Director. Please make every effort to review this and comment, such an important document requires input from those that it matters the most to.
NFIPA Next Meeting will be held at the Mind/Body Institute of Florida, 1529 Margaret Street.... 354-0410.... Friday eve. 6:30pm June 2nd.
